Hi, I'm Robert van Rooijen, founder of Recor Sound.

My journey into sound began behind the decks in 2011 — as a DJ under the name Trebor. And also where the name Recor comes from — a nod to my roots in electronic music. That passion for audio led me to study at SAE Institute, where I earned my bachelor's degree in audio engineering.

During my time at SAE, I interned at Feverfilm, where I got my first real taste of post-production. It was there that I discovered the power of storytelling through sound design and audio postproduction, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I spent three years working at Iyuno Media Group, specializing in dubbing and localization for film and television — sharpening my skills in timing, dialogue editing, and the nuances of voice performance. And just generally learned how to be a Pro Tools ninja. After that, I joined Redrum Bureau as a sound designer, where I worked on a wide range of commercial and creative projects.

Now, with Recor Sound, I bring all of that experience together. From detailed sound design and audio post-production, I help filmmakers, agencies, and directors craft sound that brings their productions to life.
